SAN DIEGO--CORONADO BEACH

OK LAST BLOG ABOUT SAN DIEGO!! WE SPENT ABOUT 5 HOURS AT THE BEACH SATURDAY. I THOUGHT I WOULD RENT SOME BOOGIE BOARDS FOR THE KIDS AND LET THEM TRY OUT SOME WAVES. BEST MONEY EVER SPENT. THE GIRLS RODE THEM FOR 4 1/2 HOURS I COULD NOT GET THEM OUT OF THE WATER. ALTHOUGH THEY DID COME RUNNING WHEN THEY SAW FIN IN THE WATER THINKING IT WAS SHARKS BUT NOPE THEY WERE BOOGIE BOARDING WITH THE DOLPHINS! HUNTER RODE A COUPLE BIG WAVES IN AND THEN DECIDED THE SAND WAS THE PLACE FOR HIM.

SAN DIEGO-- THE WEDDING

SO THE WHOLE REASON WE GOT TO GO ON THIS FABULOUS VACATION WAS TO SEE AUNT JACLYN GET MARRIED. IT WAS AMAZING TO SEE HER IN HER WEDDING DRESS WITH THE BAY IN THE BACKGROUND. IT WAS DEFINITELY THE WAY TO GO. THE KIDS WERE ALL DRESSED UP AS MUCH AS YOU COULD FOR A BEACH WEDDING. THEY WERE ALL ABOUT GETTING THEIR PHOTOS TAKEN. HUNTER GOT SOME OF HIS POSES FROM ADDI.. MAYBE SHE OFFERS CLASSES.

SAN DIEGO- RESORT

HERE ARE A FEW PICTURES OF THE RESORT WE STAYED AT. IT WAS WONDERFUL. WE WALKED EVERYWHERE TO THE POOL, FEED THE DUCKS, TO THE STORE, TO PLAY TENNIS, TO EAT, TO THE POOL AGAIN. IT WAS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. THE KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME HERE AT THE SPA POOL WHICH WAS THIER FAVORITE OF THE FIVE POOLS ON THE RESORT. MORE FUN THAN THE BEACH DOWN AT THE BAY WHICH WAS A SHORT WALK ALSO. WE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TIME TO DO IT ALL BUT I REALLY ENJOYED LAYING BY THE POOL SOAKING UP THE SUN WATCHING THE KIDS HAVE A BLAST! IT WAS REALLY HARD TO LEAVE THE 70 DEGREE NO HUMIDTY WEATHER TO COME BACK TO THE 110 DEGREE HEAT INDEX HERE!

SAN DIEGO--SEA WORLD

WE FLEW INTO SAN DIEGO WEDS EVENING AND HIT SEA WORLD THE NEXT DAY. OUR RESORT HAD A WATER TAXI THAT TOOK US OVER TO SEA WORLD AND BACK. THAT WAS SUPER COOL NO WALKING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT OR WAITING IN LINE! THE KIDS HAD A BLAST AT SEA WORLD. EVERYTHING HUNTER SAW WAS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER. THE GIRLS LOVED THE SEA TURTLES AND SHAMU SHOW. THE SHAMU SHOW WAS GREAT NO PICTURES BECAUSE THE GIRLS WAITED AN HOUR TO MAKE SURE WE WERE IN THE SPLASH ZONE. YES THREE ROWS UP FROM THE GIANT WHALE. WE GOT SOAKED! THE KIDS GOT TO PET STARFISH AND SEA URCHINS. RODE THE RIDE ATLANTIS TWICE. HUNTER ONLY ONCE THAT WAS THE ONE THING HE DID NOT FIND AMAZING!

Camping Fever

Yep we got camping fever! Took the kids camping memorial day weekend down at Truman Lake. We had so much fun. The kids were all good and totally entertained with zero toys. We spent a lot of time at the beaches one was really rocky but then we found one with a little sand. Kinda hard to find sandy beaches when lakes are all flooded. Tried a little fishing with no real luck not even a bite. Ugh. No better way to spend the evening then making smores around the campfire!

Taralyn's Last Day

Yes Taralyn's last day of elementary school. Yes she is a 5th grader. OMG So the last day the 4th graders parade through the halls of the school to say goodbye. Here are a few pictures with her teacher and some of her best buds. Moving on to lockers and after school detention , band and choir. Watch out world here she comes.

Field trip

I went on the 4th grade field trip with Taralyn to Jefferson City this year. It was a big deal. We rode in style on some buses with tv and air. I was happy not to ride that far on the school buses. We got to tour the capitol building, governor's mansion and had lunch on the lawn in front. It was a great day to spend walking all over the capitol. So many stairs and then more stairs upon more stairs. Did I mention all the stairs. Needless to say I was sore for the next two days.
